The more I read of canon, the more surprised I am by how canon-compliant the new film is. They definitely took more of a read-between-the-lines approach to Watson's narration, but it's quite solidly based in the original tales. Anyway. I can respect the cranky dying-down process. :)

I expect I will like it! I can't think of anyone I know who doesn't like his version.
