You want to know a guilty pleasure movie of mine?

The Replacements.

I just caught the end of it again on TV, and I still love it. It's utterly ridiculous, but I love Keanu Reeves as a professional quarterback. I love Gene Hackman as the wise old coach in his absurd hat. I love the football-nerding, bar-owning head cheerleader. I love the wacky cast of players. I crack up at the former-stripper cheerleader squad, even though my feminist side sends up tiny flags of protest. It's like someone took every underdog-sports-movie cliche and stuffed it into one screenplay, and I know that. I enjoy the shit out of it anyway.

Anyway. Yeah. Guilty pleasure, right there. :D

They aren't FORMER strippers, they are CURRENT strippers.

I can do that whole movie from start to finish. My whole family can, we love it. I made a giant :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD face when I saw the quote on my flist. Like, for my brother's senior yearbook, we took out an ad that was all "we could say something classy an inspirational, but that just wouldn't be our style."

You're right! I apologize for the inaccuracy. I'm sure they'd offer to spank me.

I KNEW there was a reason I liked you! The yearbook thing is pure awesome; I hope your brother knows how lucky he is. ♥

Actually, I think my favorite moment is when he's going in for the kiss, and the sports announcers start doing voiceover commentary. I laugh like a drain EVERY TIME. :D

Ahaha, yes, I love that movie too and I normally am left extremely indifferent by sports movies.

(although I never understood why they made Baltimore stand in for DC. It's so obviously *Baltimore* why bother? Just set the movie in Baltimore.)
