1) Have you read a 6/11 fic? Do you want to?

A Lex Luthor/Starbuck fic? Never. I don't think any fic exists for this. Do I want to? Well, now I do. That would be a really interesting contrast. Lex is reserved, urbane, manipulative, morally ambiguous (and slinky, Katie!), and he's used to being in control. Kara is rough around the edges, passionate, loyal to a fault, and rebels against authority and being controlled. If the inherent problems of crossing over between two such different universes, could be overcome...the power dynamics alone would make this fic drool-worthy, even without the hotness factor.

2) Do you think 4 is hot? How hot?

Despite being a fictional character in a novel, which unfortunately precludes graphic representations to lust over, I do think George Cooper is hot. He's a green-eyed, dark-haired, attractively scarred thief with a sense of humor and a wicked way with knives, for goodness' sake. That's like...everything I find attractive. Very, very do-able.

3) What would happen if 12 got 8 pregnant?

Oddly enough, if Xander Harris and Miles Vorkosigan wanted to have a baby, they totally could. Cordelia would insist they use a uterine replicator even if one was a woman, so it's not like that's an issue. There would be scandal, and the Council of Counts would oh-so-subtly give Miles shit about it, oh, FOR ETERNITY. Not to mention Ivan. Cordelia would be the only person unruffled by the whole situation, but Simon and Alys would never show it. Oh, and Gregor would probably say "Let's see what happens." Of course.

4) Can you rec any fic(s) about 9?

Ah, the lovely and violent Ms. Parker. Absolutely. Almost all of my favorite Pretender fics are Parker-centric anyway.

5) Would 2 and 6 make a good couple?

Would Dan Rydell and Lex Luthor make a good couple? Not for anything more than sex, no. The marvelous Shrift actually wrote this pairing in a story called Networking. It was just as angsty and hot as this pairing would be, but it would never work, as she well acknowledges. Dan is too vulnerable in love and Lex is too careless with other people, and Dan is beer-and-football to Lex's champagne-and-limosines. Granted, Dan is highly educated and enjoys the finer things in life more than, say, Casey, but there's a huge amount of difference there that I'm not sure can be bridged. They're both too emotionally withdrawn for it to work beyond casual sex. Besides, Dan's in love with Casey and Lex is in love with Clark, so that'll never work. But man, was that some hot sex.

6) 5/9 or 5/10? Why?

Oooh. Capt. Jack Sparrow/Ms. Parker or Capt. Jack Sparrow/Nick Stokes. Hmm. I think Ms. Parker would shoot Jack if he tried anything, so I'm going to have to go with Jack/Nick. I can see it now: Jack trying to get Nick drunk to have his way with him, and Texas-born frat-boy Nick drinking him under the table. I like the contrast of Jack's ambiguous morality and Nick's straight-edged virtue. That's pretty common in my favorite pairings, actually (Lex/Clark, Parker/Jarod, Starbuck/Apollo, Methos/anybody (esp. Duncan), Duncan/Amanda, for that matter, Aziraphale/Crowley, Sawyer/Sayid, etc.). Hmm... I wonder what that says about me?

7) What would happen if 7 walked in on 2 and 12 having sex?

If Methos walked in on Dan Rydell and Xander Harris having sex, he would probably be completely nonchalant (because really, he's seen it all), make an extremely dry/sarcastic comment that would make Dan and Xander completely self-conscious and embarrassed, and then leave.

8) Make up a summary for a 3/10 fic.

AHAHAHAHA. Elizabeth Bennett/Nick Stokes? Okay, here goes nothing:

While investigating the mysterious disappearance of an English professor who was obsessed with supernatural phenomena and mysticism, Nick touches an odd device that transports him into the fictional world of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. Will Elizabeth choose the aloof Mr. Darcy? Or will she fall for newly-arrived militia officer Nicholas Stokes instead?

Really, though, this would work much better as an ampersand (&) fic (TM thedorkygirl) than as a pairing, I think. But that may be because I've read too much Nick/Greg slash and find it hard to think of Nick as straight. Well, okay, the show itself makes me think Nick's not straight also. He just isn't, I'm sorry. But I think a friendship between him and Elizabeth would be really interesting.

9) Is there any such thing as 1/8 fluff?

Adrian Monk/Miles Vorkosigan? Nope. Not a bit. I don't think it's possible to write that convincingly either, unless you have some really good crack and widen the definition of "fluff" to include "humor."

10) Suggest a title for a 7/12 hurt/comfort fic.

Methos/Xander h/c? Umm... The Willfully Blind Leading The Half-Blind? Sorry. Oh, I know: Wanderers Eastward, Wanderers West, from an A. E. Housman poem called "The Immortal Part": (excerpted stanza)

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 to deflower 1?

Well, other than the necessary use of the time- and interdimensional-travel plot devices...Monk would be investigating George's illegal doings, and George would shamelessly use his body to get himself out of trouble.

Methos slash? I know Katie (thespatz) does. Karen (thedorkygirl), are you a Highlander fan? Other than that, you guys will have to let me know.

Does watching the BBC miniseries count as Elizabeth Bennett het? Katie and Karen might, again. Elizabeth Bennett het isn't too exciting, from what I've found.

Karen should be a fan of Battlestar Galactica. I think she'd write brilliant Kara. liz_marcs is a fan of BSG, but doesn't write it, sadly.

Dan Rydell/George Cooper/Jack Sparrow? No, but they should.

I don't see Nick Stokes as a screamer. *winces* And that just made me think of "Grave Danger," and now I'm disturbed by the idea of him screaming at all. He might even have a complex about it after that whole ordeal. God, when he was screaming, that just got me where I live. It was heart-breaking, and left me amazed with George Eads' ability to put so much primal fear onto the screen. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

17) If you write a songfic about 1, which song would you choose?

Dan Rydell to Nick Stokes: "How 'bout them Cowboys?" Or: "I'm Dan Rydell from Sports Night." As if Nick wouldn't recognize him. Really, it would be pretty easy for Dan to pick up Nick.

Hmm. It's been a while since I read any PoTC fic. I'd have to say it's been many months since Capt. Jack Sparrow and I crossed paths.

Lex likes sex mid-air. Which is possible when you're Superman's boyfriend. :)

22) Would 11 shag 9? Drunk or sober?

Would Starbuck shag Ms. Parker? Sure, why not? That would be hot. Ms. Parker would probably have to be drunk enough to not want to shoot Kara, so I'd say drunk for both.

Elizabeth Bennett and Methos. You know, if they were both not fictional, this actually could have happened, since he was alive back then. That's interesting. I'd actually say Lizzy would top, to be honest.

Excuse me while I go DIE LAUGHING. Monk with Ms. Parker? Monk with Starbuck? Monk with Xander? Monk with Miles? The mind boggles. Plus, Jack Sparrow giving wise advice? *snickers* This would have to be a parody fic entitled "The Nonsensical Time-Traveling Adventures of An OCD Detective" or something similar.

25) How would you feel if 7/8 was canon?

Methos/Miles? Hmm, that's an intriguing thought. I so think he'll still be alive then, but Miles is militantly heterosexual, so I just can't see it. It would be interesting to see Methos get out of Miles' attempts to manipulate the vast amount of knowledge Methos possesses. Plus, it's fun to imagine Methos around during the Isolation-era Barrayar, isn't it? I wonder how he felt about the Cetagandan face paint, and if it gave him flashbacks to his Horseman days, and which side he fought for, or if he sold horses to both sides, so to speak. Damn. Someone should write this.
