I feel 'ya. I love San Diego, but in my whole neighborhood, there's exactly one decent Chinese place that delivers, and they're closed Sundays. It's sad.
Oh my god, the state of Chinese food in Austin is truly sad. I just thank god that at least we have decent sushi. And it's compensated by having totally kickass Mexican, which -- the only really excellent margaritas I ever had in New York were the ones I made myself.
Yeah, I've only been to Austin once, many years ago, but I have fond memories of the fabulous Mexican food.
Come to think of it, the situation in San Diego is more or less the same. Is there, like, some law or something that a city can have fantastic Mexican food or fantastic Chinese food but not both?
