Urgh.

My day: coughing, feeling like there's a person sitting on my chest, getting surprise requests that I bring in a doctor's note for missing work, when I haven't actually seen a doctor, thinking that the hacking and snot were self-evident enough reason not to work in food service. I also ended up defaulting on Yuletide, because my headful of cotton stuffing &tc. means my pride is not a good enough excuse for my recipient not getting a good story. *sigh* I still feel like a failure, though. And I really don't even want to talk about the surprise bad news re: my aunt, because I just can't. Let's focus on the petty and superficial instead, shall we?

Anyway, so of course now is when I get hit with all kinds of ideas for writing a Sherlock BBC story set after "The Great Game." See, one of my first thoughts after seeing that ep was that they were likely going to follow it up with a sort of "The Final Problem"-esque situation where everyone thinks Sherlock is dead but really he's just off polishing off Moriarty's gang and trying to protect John by keeping away.

And then the second time I saw the ep, I was struck with the thought that the explosion in the house across the street is totally random and largely pointless...unless you think about it as a way to set up an *COUGH* Empty House-type situation across from the Baker Street rooms. And if they do that, it's all good! And we would get mourning John, and lonely exiled Sherlock, and pining, and unnecessarily dramatic reappearances, and shenanigans with Mrs. Hudson and Mycroft, and ambushing snipers across the street from one's own flat. EXCITING STUFF.

This leads to further pondering of the important questions. Like: Will John faint upon Sherlock's return from the dead like he does in the stories? (BEST. SCENE. EVER. He legit passes out, guys, it's awesome.) Because really, inquiring minds want to know. And if not fainting, what would the modern equivalent be?

Whoops, forgot to add an "other" option, there. Whatever, I am sick and lazy. Y'all are big girls, you can figure out to leave a comment, yeah?
