Good fic and good times
May. 8th, 2007 09:15 pmI really have nothing to substantial to say (and I'm about to go study, I promise), but--don't you just love when you find a really great fic that you haven't read yet? Especially when you could've sworn you'd already read everything the author has written, and were also starting to fear that you'd exhausted the depths of fandom and somehow managed to read everything ever written and thus would never be able to get the really-good-fic feeling for that fandom ever again? And then, the fic turns out to be even more amazing than you'd hoped, epic-length, and fulfills a certain story kink that you absolutely adore (characters in therapy)?
Yeah. I just found/read
out_there's Like Sailing and Home Runs. *happy sigh*
Also, this means I now have a good plan for the flight home: print out this fic to read again, plus
cesperanza's DS fic Eight Sessions, and have myself a therapy-fic bonanza, hopefully foreshadowing a successful upcoming semester off, which I will coincidentally also spend in therapy.
And now I have to go watch Some Like It Hot. To study. For my final tomorrow. No, really. Have I ever mentioned I sometimes feel like I'm getting away with murder by being a film major? I mean, I get credit for watching films in a little private movie theater and then discussing them. I do that for fun, guys. It just makes me so gleeful (you know, when I'm not depressed). Uh, not that getting away with murder makes me gleeful. Or that I know what that feels like. *shifty eyes*
