First post and 10 things

Well, so it begins.
I've decided to start this LJ to satisfy my urge to keep a journal, which goes much faster by typing, rather than to entertain and inform my friends about the many things in my life I feel they should, as most people here seem to. I hope no one reads these posts, because I don't want them to.
To start things off, break the ice, etc., here's a meme I got from the LJ of liz_marcs.
Ten things that I've done that you probably haven't:
1) Stood up on the hillside at Barton Springs and bellydanced in my bikini to a man playing the bongos.
2) Danced naked in the rain.
3) Danced in the aisles while Poncho Sanchez and his band played on stage, breaking the ice and getting more people to dance until the aisles were filled and the men and women there were moving with his music instead of sitting like lumps and just listening to it.
4) Gone swing-dancing for the first time ever, learned the basic step while in the ballroom, danced with a dozen guys and emerged three hours later with a love of swing that has lasted two years now.
5) Bellydanced by a fire at a campsite on Lake Travis.
6) Gone to the Salsa Festival and danced the cha-cha with a complete stranger, not having really danced that step ever before, and not made more than a few small mistakes.
7) Danced in a club in Austria wearing cowboy boots and a miniskirt, not wanting to leave until forced to.
8) Two-stepped at the Broken Spoke with my best friend and her boyfriend and his family for the first time ever, again in those cowboys boots that accompanied me to Austria.
9) Done a silly little dance after making out like a bandit at a garage sale, buying a bunch of jewelry, a great pair of boots, a tie (soon-to-be belt), a hair holder, and a fabulous, 50s-ish, black, full-length wool coat with a hood for ...(drumroll please)... ten dollars. HECK YEAH.
10) Danced with my two friends at a free concert by Los Lonely Boys, pushing our way as far to the front as possible, then helping get an encore (like we did at Poncho Sanchez) by yelling "Otro! Otro!", then running off singing and picking flowers to put in my two friends' hair as we skipped down the sidewalk to our car and drove to Amy's Ice Creams.

And those are all just my dancing stories. :)
