A fabulous moment in time: last night I was walking down 50th towards my partyhelping job on 48th and 1st Ave. There I was, standing on the corner of 50th and Park Ave, and what do I see? The exterior shot of the Sports Night "office building." Just...there. And the shadows were exactly the same as they always are in that shot, and the angle was identical, and I was ridiculously happy about it all.

You know what's sick? I'm sitting here trying to write my damn English paper, thinking about Beauty and the Beast because that's what the stupid paragraph's about, and my mind is suddenly off thinking about Brokeback Mountain or "Doctor Who" or "Due South," and without even trying, I've composed whole essays in my head, arguing against a point in one of the BM reviews I read, or explaining why exactly Rose and the Doctor's relationship is so compelling, or analyzing the motivations of Benton Fraser. And then my mind wavers back into place in front of the computer screen and I wonder why the fuck I have so much to say about those fictional characters and the relevance they have to me and to society, but can't write the same about the fictional characters in fairy tales if my life (okay, grade) depends on it. Also, none of these musings are in Chinese, which sucks, since I have to present a monologue tomorrow, and it would be great if I could blurt out stuff in Chinese as easily as it come out in my head. Where's the TARDIS when you need it (her?)?

Okay, so maybe not Pride & Prejudice, giant inflatable dinosaurs, and the scandalous use of Andy Warhol stickers like I promised. But soon!

WE MUST MAKE A PILGRIMAGE!!! We can solemnly watch some episodes in dutiful fashion, and journey to said street corner. And then we will have some Sorkin-ing.

Yeah, today I was getting my mail, and I did such a double-take when someone was talking about "going to see the doctor." Gah, why my brain, why?

Need any help with B&B material? *crack knuckles, prepares the fearsome fairy tale knowledge*

Oh! I got your letter, and it made me smile like a certain manic alien we both love. I think my cheeks are permanently stretched out of shape ;)
