Pink Truck
Aug. 2nd, 2005 05:41 pmI saw the pink truck again today, making it the third time in about as many weeks. The first time was at the Harry Potter book release party, walking away from and back to our van. On the way back, the lady who owns the truck was starting it up, and I shouted to her that I loved her truck, and she thanked me. I absolutely love Austin for little things like that; very few other places in this world have old trucks hand-painted bright pink (not to mention the "Real Women Drive Trucks" bumper sticker). I want to experience new things, which is why I'm leaving Austin for college, but I think I would be perfectly happy to live here at the end of all my traveling. There's nothing like it.
I still don't know about my roommate at Barnard yet. I'm beginning to get worried.
I'm listening to my friend Matt's songs. He's brilliant, in my humble opinion. I must remember to get his autograph before he gets really famous. :)
I love when it rains at night in Texas and the concrete is still so hot that it evaporates straight away again. You drive down the road and your headlights hit all these tendrils of steam, and it looks quite cool.
