Characters/fandoms meme

Because I don't have enough things to procrastinate with, and haven't done a meme just like this already, I present:
Before you click the cut for the questions, pick twelve characters. And then click the cut and answer the questions...
1. Benton Fraser
2. Ray Kowalski
3. Dan Rydell
4. Duck MacDonald
5. The Ninth Doctor
6. Veronica Mars
7. Greg House
8. Kara Thrace
9. Mal Reynolds
10. Dr. Elizabeth Weir
11. CJ Cregg
12. Nick Stokes
1. Have you ever read a Six/Eleven fic? Do you want to?
Veronica Mars/CJ Cregg. Um...no. And probably not, no. I'm not sure why. Something about their personalities would just clash, and not in the good-tension kind of way.
2. Do you think Four is hot? How hot?
Duck MacDonald. Dude, it's Callum Keith Rennie. Of course he's hot. Duck is more of the sweet-and-comfortable variety of CKR-hot than say, Billy Tallent's selfish-and-dangerous variety, but still, the guy smoulders. In overalls, people.
3. What would happen if Twelve got Eight pregnant?
If Nick Stokes got Kara Thrace pregnant? AHAHAHAHA *dies laughing* Oh, she would be so pissed off. And let's be honest, she wouldn't keep it. She would be terrified of being a parent. Either she'd abort without telling Nick or she'd let Nick raise the kid, for whom he would probably be a great, if over-protective, father.
4. Can you rec any fic(s) about Nine?
Mal Reynolds. Oh, so many. Here's one, post-Serenity: Five Drinks by Kass.
5. Would Two and Six make a good couple?
Ray Kowalski and Veronica Mars. Well, even disregarding the fact that Ray loves Fraser, I think they would make a terrible couple. Both are too world-weary and cynical in their own ways to be happy together. There's no balance for that, nothing to counteract it, like Ray has with Fraser and Veronica has with her dad and Wallace (but hasn't found romantically). The thing that would make them interesting is their law-enforcement backgrounds. They both sort of see things as a puzzle, and have a thirst for justice, although I think both would deny it. They're mismatched in their investigation methods, too; Ray is very direct when he's not undercover, whereas Veronica keeps secrets and manipulates people all the time, even those she's close to. Ray does undercover work to get away from himself, and Veronica does it to keep people from seeing who she really is. I don't know. They would be an interesting couple, but not a good one.
6. Five/Nine or Five/Ten? Why?
The Ninth Doctor/Mal Reynolds or The Ninth Doctor/Dr. Elizabeth Weir. Hmm. Hmmmm... I don't know? Doctor/Mal has the identification through post-war experiences and bitterness, but Doctor/Weir has an interesting dynamic with the whole weight-of-responsibility thing. Hmmm...and both would have really interesting reactions to The Doctor's manic side. I really can't decide on this one.
7. What would happen if Seven walked in on Two and Twelve having sex?
If House walked in on Ray Kowalski and Nick Stokes having sex, first of all I would die laughing from whatever facial expression he made, and then he would make a bitingly sarcastic remark, possibly relating to the closeted nature of law enforcement or how some people love a guy in or out of uniform. And then, if they weren't in his way, he'd leave nonchalantly, and if they were in his way or he needed them for his current case, he'd poke them apart with his cane and get what he came for. Nick would be mortified and Ray would be angry and House wouldn't care.
8. Make up a summary for a Three/Ten fic.
Dan Rydell/Dr. Elizabeth Weir. Warning: There is absolutely no way that these two universes would be able to crossover in a logical way, so just go with it instead of making your head explode.
9. Is there any such thing as One/Eight fluff?
Benton Fraser/Kara Thrace fluff. No way. They would be angst, angst, angst. They're so screwed up. Actually, I don't think there is such a thing as Kara fluff--at least, not well-characterized fluff. She's like the anti-fluff.
10. Suggest a title for a Seven/Twelve hurt/comfort fic.
Greg House/Nick Stokes h/c? The mind boggles. All I know is, House would not be doing the comforting. I'd call it "Bite The Hand."
11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted Four to deflower One?
If Duck MacDonald deflowered Benton Fraser... either the "you-look-like-a-guy-I-know" chance encounter (in Canada) leading to replacement sex in a hotel room, or young!Fraser meets young!Duck (in Canada) with his traveling librarian grandparents and has awkward first-time teenage sex.
12. Does anyone on your friends list read Seven slash?
Greg House slash? You bet your ass, they do. Well, Katie does. And
maribou413, you will once you've made your way through the series. It's all about the House/Wilson.
13. Does anyone on your friends list read Three het?
Dan Rydell het. No, because no one writes Dan het, because he and Casey are Meant To Be in fandom.
14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw Eleven?
CJ Cregg. I think
thedorkygirl has written CJ before.
15. Would anyone on your friends list write Two/Four/Five?
Ray Kowalski/Duck MacDonald/The Ninth Doctor. Maybe
geekwriter143, if she watched Doctor Who (which she should), because she'd like the idea of CKR-on-CKR action. It would be really hot, too, because she's talented like that.
16. What might Ten scream at a moment of great passion?
Dr. Elizabeth Weir. I doubt she'd scream, to be honest. But if she did, it would be "Oh, John!"
17. If you wrote a song-fic about Eight, which song would you choose?
Kara Thrace. "Mad World," but I'd say the Tears For Fears version, because it feels more like the hectic and insane life on the Galactica than Michael Andrews' very resigned cover on the Donnie Darko soundtrack. "All around me are familiar faces / Worn out places, worn out faces / Bright and early for their daily races / Going nowhere, going nowhere / And their tears are filling up their glasses / No expression, no expression / Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow / No tomorrow, no tomorrow / And I find it kind of funny / I find it kind of sad / The dreams in which I'm dying / Are the best I've ever had..."
18. If you wrote a One/Six/Twelve fic, what would the warnings be?
Benton Fraser/Veronica Mars/Nick Stokes. Warning: Two very idealistic and honorable men who are inept with women, plus one cynical and manipulative woman, equals beware of clashing ideologies.
19. What might be a good pick-up line for Two to use on Ten?
Ray Kowalski/Dr. Elizabeth Weir. Oh, I'm very amused by the idea of Ray trying to pick up Elizabeth. He'd probably use a lame line like "Are you an astronaut?" which would make her paranoid about security breaches and say "Why do you say that?" to which he'd reply "Those must be space pants, because your ass is out of this world." Oh Ray. How awkward. And she would use that smile like when she tries not to laugh at Rodney and John, and let Ray's endearingly awkward self buy her a drink.
20. When was the last time you read a fic about Five?
The Ninth Doctor... about a month ago, I think.
And the same thing for your favorite TV shows...
1. Due South
2. Doctor Who
3. Veronica Mars
4. Sports Night
5. Firefly
6. Battlestar Galactica
1. Who is your favorite character from #2?
Doctor Who. The Doctor, of course.
2. Who is your least favorite character from #4?
Sports Night. J.J., voice of the network and backstabbing, ambitious bastard.
3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
Due South and Firefly. Time travel and some serious crack. Though watching Fraser and River interact would blow my mind. Someone should write that--River and Fraser, I mean. There actually already is a DS/FF crossover: Shiny, with Kaylee and Ray Kowalski.
4. Who is your favorite ship from #6?
Battlestar Galactica. Kara/Lee (Starbuck/Apollo), no doubt about it.
5. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?
Veronica Mars and Battlestar Galactica. Principal Clemmons and Laura Roslin. Because they could bond over education and Machiavellian schemes.
6. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?
Sports Night. Dan Rydell. I'd make him show me all his favorite places in New York and then give me a tour of the Sports Night studio and introduce me to everyone.
7. If you could change one thing about #2's plotline, what would you change?
Doctor Who. Um...as much as I'm looking forward to David Tennant's Tenth Doctor, I really wish the Ninth Doctor hadn't had to regenerate. I was so sad that I sobbed.
8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them.
Firefly. Shit. I have to pick one? Each of the characters has such interesting relationships with all of the other characters. Fuck. Umm...probably River and Mal. They have a really complex dynamic, and I love how much they both love Serenity. They've each been through so much, and they have found peace in this ship and in the family that formed around it. Serenity is freedom and redemption and home, and both Mal and River understand that in a way that no one else really does. Both characters also do whatever they need to do to keep their ship and their family safe. They hate the Alliance, because it destroyed both their lives. My two favorite scenes with Mal and River are when they push Early into vacuum ("Permission to come aboard?" "You know, you ain't quite right"), and the final scene of Serenity ("But you already know what I'm going to say," "I like to hear you say it"). Mal isn't afraid of River, because he sees that she loves Serenity with the same passion that he does.
9. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
Due South and Veronica Mars, Benton Fraser and Veronica Mars. Double shit. I hate to say something so similar to what
geekwriter143 said for this, but I'd save Veronica, because Fraser would save himself. I mean, with all that excess lung capacity and everything... Also, Veronica's so young, and has so much left to do with her life. Not that Fraser doesn't, but still. You know what I mean. Besides, Fraser would never forgive me (he'd say he forgave me, but he wouldn't really) if I saved him instead of her. You know he would. I love Fraser more, but I'd save Veronica.
10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
Does Sports Night even have a credit sequence?
11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like and what would their role be?
I'd love to see another version of Leoben. Part of that is that I love CKR, but I also think that it would be really interesting to see him with a different personality, like what they did with Six and Gina. I also think having another Cyclon than Boomer side with the humans would be cool, and man would his interactions with Kara and Roslin be interesting to see.
12. What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?
Doctor Who. I hate picking a favorite like this. Okay, okay. "Dalek." The Doctor and Rose follow a distress signal and discover a Dalek being held prisoner in a rich man's underground hoard of alien artifacts. The Daleks were at war with the Time Lords, and it and he are the only ones left alive. The Doctor wants to destroy the Dalek, but it instead breaks free by acquiring some of Rose's DNA and regenerating. The Doctor has to close off part of the base, and Rose is trapped with the Dalek. They think it kills her, and the Doctor is furious with Rich Guy, but then it turns out that the Dalek is instead holding her hostage (because it can't make itself kill her; her DNA is making it change). The Doctor lets them out because he "can't kill her again." The Dalek sees the sunshine, and then destroys itself because it has been contaminated by Rose's DNA. The Doctor and Rose take Annoying Tech Boy with them on their next adventure.
13. If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it?
Due South. Victoria. See here for details.
14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
Veronica Mars or Firefly. Firefly! I would absolutely die of happiness at the chance to walk around Serenity and meet Joss Whedon and the cast. Oh my god, YES.
15. So, I saved the best question for last. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
Due South, Ray Kowalski. Because he's hot, and because he wouldn't let me shut him out. Although, if (when) we fought, it would be a doozy.
