Look,
new icons. I made them myself; aren't they pretty? The Lionel one is actually the very first icon I ever created, because when I saw that episode, I felt the irony of such an evil man with a small pink teacup and a white bunny could not be passed up. The jukebox/iPod one is, like many things, something Katie and the small handful of "Doctor Who" (2005) fans will understand. I laugh every time I hear "Toxic" now. "An ancient Earth ballad," hee. The Grissom icon was the result of this exchange from CSI 5.03, "Harvest":
DANIEL PEREZ: I-I do want to thank you, though.
GRISSOM: For what?
DANIEL PEREZ: For speaking for Alicia. You're probably the first person in her life to think only of her. You know, you may not believe in God, sir, but you do his work. Thus, "Speaker For The Dead." While the role in Orson Scott Card's novels probably resembles Grissom's very little (I don't know; I only read
Ender's Game), I think the phrase itself is remarkably appropriate for him.
Yes, I am ridiculously proud of myself. Why do you ask?
Coming soon: Pride & Prejudice, giant inflatable dinosaurs, and the scandalous use of Andy Warhol stickers.
