Hahahaha. This is from the Castle ep "Kill The Messenger" (2.08). I remember cracking up so hard during this scene that I had to hit pause. It was beautiful – not only are Castle, Ryan, and Esposito squished together on a couch, drinking tea out of pretty teacups, while wearing bulletproof vests (Castle's, you note, says "WRITER" instead of "POLICE," because that's how he rolls), but they're also being climbed on by about a million cats owned by the cat lady they're questioning. That's some excellent visual humor. ♥




&OLIVIADUNHAM; :D I made this icon myself from a Fringe promo poster. Fringe has the best promo pictures – like this awesome one. I can't find my link to the one where they're all dressed up as noir detective characters right now, but if I could, you would be amazed. Trust me. ;) Anyway, I used this poster for my source. I'm actually rather proud with how it turned out; I was really frustrated while trying to figure out a good way to crop the image, because any time I tried to get her profile, it lost the cool swirly impact of the original, or was too wide and lost all the detail. So I ended up photoshopping a part of the swirly bit in next to Olivia's profile to look like her hair. (I have kind of a thing for Olivia's hair, anyway. I think it's so pretty. This shows in my icon selections...)

I'll be honest, there is no reason for this one. I just saw it and thought it was pretty. It works great as a neutral icon.




Mmmm. Miss Parker (no first name) and Jarod (no last name) from The Pretender are still one of my favorite pairings EVER. As you can see, they are also Most Pretty; Parker wears miniskirts and heels and a gun like nobody's business, and Jarod broods and wears black leather and has really pretty brains. ♥




I found this in someone's icon journal while looking for something completely different. It took me a bit of work to figure out the source, which is "The Creation" by Michael Parkes. I like the icon way better than the source, because as it turns out, below her shoulders the woman is wearing, um, nothing, and like, petting a tiger or some wacked out shit like that. I just liked the romanticized-surrealism style and the concept of someone painting their own mask.




LOLLLLLLLLL. Believe it or not, this is NOT a fan manip. No, this is FROM CANON. I actually posted a gleeful explanation when I acquired it, but here it is again: in a S6 episode of House, we discover that Wilson, upright oncologist though he now is, once acted (badly) in a student film as a favor for a friend in college – a short film which was later re-edited with additional footage, shot using different but similar-looking actors to make a porno.

That's right. A PORNO.

The original film containing Wilson constitutes only the opening of the porno, but as it contains Wilson in antlers and doofy hair, this is still pretty embarrassing. Wilson, of course, continues to insist that he was NOT IN A PORNO. Technically he's right, but this does not stop the entire hospital staff from learning of it, and quoting the porn star's lines at him – "Be not afraid! The forest nymphs have taught me how to please a woman!" – and putting up wall-sized versions of this icon in the main lobby. (In fact, it kind of makes it more acceptable for them to do so, because it's not as weird/uncomfortable as it would be if Wilson had actually starred in a porno.)

Anyway. I was dying with laughter. It's still hilarious to me. :D
