Okay, so I'm totally lame and trawling for writing ideas. Which I would be ashamed about, except I'm more ashamed about not bringing work to my class, and my brain is fried from doing research on ridiculous things like the samurai honor code and orphanages in the 1940s, so. Here goes.

Let's say you have two female characters on the run from enemy spies in San Diego during WWII. Where could they go and what could they do? I already have the following (vague) ideas: gas station; visiting a friend working at the manufacturing plants; something involving dangling the characters off a bridge. I've already covered the diner where they work, too.

Please help! Drag out your favorite WWII-era movie tropes and fling them at me! (film recs illustrating said tropes? also useful!) The more cliche, the better! Pleeeeeaaase?

Yay, thank you! This was very helpful! The convent ended up turning into just a church and shenanigans with hiding in a confessional, but it was all due to you! :D

P.S. I TOTALLY FAIL at calling you. I'm going to be on the train for a few hours tonight, so I am going to try to call and hopefully it won't be too late. I really miss you, darlin'. *hugs*
