I have to say, watching The West Wing 6.17 "A Good Day" is cheering me up considerably. Sneaky Santos organizing a voting sleepover! Toby taking earnest middle-schoolers seriously! Kate Harper preventing war with Canada!

I love it. :D

This is true. He did have a lisp. :D God, I love that press conference scene SO MUCH. Santos sitting on Donna will never stop being funny; neither will his talking seriously with the wavering Arkansas congressman stop being moving. And Kate Harper making epic WTF? faces at all the military advisers and the phone and the calligraphy 18th-century invasion plan was PURE LOVE. (btw, we never discussed the whole Kate/Will subplot! what did you think?)

I would not put it past him to have saved them up. On the other hand, I don't think they're all that rare, either. He's just, like, pulling this shit out of his family albums. "Oh, honey, look! That's the time you slow-danced with that squirrel, do you remember?" etc... :D

I thought Kate/Will was adorable! My love for Kate is great enough that it restored Will to my affections. Though all the end-of-season angst over moving to the same place together was wearing because there hadn't been enough on-screen development.

I thought they were cute too, but in kind of a trainwreck way? Like, they were all awkward and adorable, but I just KNEW it was going to end in, if not tears, explosions and possibly a flood. Like, say, her not voting for Santos. :D
