*twirls with you* IT'S SO MUCH FUN, DOT. It just makes me super happy. :D

Yes, all the conversations! So good. Their arguments are especially hilarious now that we've met Rachel (WHO IS AWESOME, BTW) and know that Danny argues with Steve the exact same way he argues with her. ♥! But especially that one. OH BOYS. HAVE MORE AWKWARD BUT SINCERE HEART-TO-HEARTS, PLEASE.

Kono is great! I keep thinking that it should be weird that she's already so confident (and in some writers' hands, it would be), since she really is rather young and inexperienced. And then I remind myself that she had and lost a professional career before she was even old enough to drink, and that gives her all kinds of self-assurance. Also, she's awesome. :D I do love how the team works with her, too. On another show, Danny's "It's not because you're the woman, it's because you're a rookie" comment would've felt like contrivance or the showrunners being all "shit, we're treating her like the woman! BETTER LAMPSHADE IT." Instead, it just felt like the honest truth. She's the rookie, and they protect and mock her, but they respect her abilities as a cop, and her as a person. And she has the confidence and self-awareness to, say like the ep when they're telling her to take herself off her mentor's murder investigation, to stand up for what she actually can handle, and then handle it. She's just great, and the team is just great. :D

He might know! It can be used as a meat tenderizer, and he might've come upon the fact that way. Or maybe he was just wondering why it makes your mouth burn when you eat it. Steve, though, would be the one who knows the exact name of the proteolytic enzyme. And would also call it a proteolytic enzyme. And then Danny would mock him, and possibly rant a bit: "What the hell does that mean? Do you even listen to yourself when you talk?" "Proteolytic means it breaks down protein. You know, from the Latin roots--" "Okay, seriously? Protein is animal flesh. Why can't you just call it a 'flesh-eating chemical' like it is?" "It's not a chemical, it's an enzyme." "So?" "So, that's a protein, not a chemical." "Are you telling me it's a protein that eats other proteins? That is just so wrong." "It doesn't eat them, Danny...oh, never mind." It's my personal canon that Steve was a chem nerd in school. There is just NO WAY that's not true.

I love them LOTS.

HEY, LET'S TALK ABOUT CHIN NOW. He's falling behind on the love parade! And that's just not right.
