Damn you, technology
Oct. 25th, 2007 02:58 pmMy computer has failed me. That is to say, my battery died, and a few days after I finally replaced it, my AC adapter croaked, so now I will be without my laptop for about a week. I seriously live on my computer, which means this is a truly crappy end to a shitty couple of weeks.
Anyway, if anyone wonders why I'm not around, that would be the reason, not that I think people really notice when I disappear for long stretches of time online. Okay, this is a tangent and it's a weird line of thought, but every time I watch Without A Trace, I start wondering how long it would take me to be reported missing. Right now, for example, I live at home and would be missed within a day. This spring, though, when I moved into a single...if I hadn't made plans with anyone or signed up for a job (which I likely hadn't), it could've been weeks before anyone noticed. Probably it would have been my painting professor.
