Argh. Today was frustrating in lots of little, exhausting ways. Like, I tried to go to yoga at 3 and the schedule had changed. I went to the mall and none of the shoes fit (but I do have cute new underwear and various other things. Which I can't afford, but shhhh). I went to another yoga class, at a different studio, and the instructor was out of town. We got her sister instead, who had one of those DMV-instruction-video voices and taught a different kind of yoga, so instead of a nice regular Hatha practice, we worked on a bunch of different forward bend postures. Some of it was useful, honestly, but NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR, OKAY, AND YOUR VOICE IS MAKING ME WANT TO PUNCH SOMETHING. THIS IS NOT WHY I GO TO YOGA. I knew I should've done the Ashtanga class instead. *sigh* And then I came home to very uninspiring food, got in a fight with my dad about puppies, okay. I seriously just had a fight about puppies with someone. That's the kind of day this has been. There was other stuff, too, but I'm cutting my petty list of woe off here.

On the other hand, on the way to yoga I met a nice lady named Pam who was walking her cockatoo Tulip. That was fun.

Anyway, fuck this. I just want to curl up in a ball and listen to The Cab on repeat while reading fanfic, so instead I'm going to shower, put on a fabulous skirt, pick up that job application, and then go swing dancing. *gives today the finger*

Heee, thanks! Cliches exist for a reason, you know -- they're often very appropriate! :)

How does one walk a cockatoo? *quizzical face*

DAMN on the lack-of-Yoga. Stompy action is required! (Plus fabulous skirts)

One walks, and carries one's cockatoo on one's arm. :) It's always a fun sight, I have to say.

Good on you for getting out and doing something instead of giving into the urge to wallow. I need to work on finding motivation like that. :) *snuggles*

Thanks! It's something I've been working on a lot recently. I am not always this successful. :)

She goes out walking and carries her cockatoo on her arm. Much like a pirate, only less shoulder action. Apparently, Tulip liked me (i.e., let me pet her) because I'm a redhead and thus remind her of Pam's friend who gives her treats. :)
