So, y'all remember that meme I did way back when? Here's the responses, finally.

1. Miles Vorkosigan (Lois McMaster Bujold novels)
2. Temperance Brennan (Bones)
3. Peter Petrelli (Heroes)
4. Dana Whitaker (Sports Night)
5. Lord Peter Wimsey (Dorothy L. Sayers novels)
6. Kaylee Frye (Firefly)
7. Benton Fraser (Due South)
8. Martha Jones (Doctor Who)
9. Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)
10. Abby Sciuto (NCIS)
11. Veronica Mars (Veronica Mars)
12. Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
13. Xander Harris (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
14. Fiona Glennane (Burn Notice)
15. Rudy Miller (I Want To Go Home!, Gordon Korman novel)

from [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63: If 5 [Lord Peter Wimsey], 10 [Abby Sciuto] and 15 [Rudy Miller] all sat down to watch television together (a series none of them is on, by the way), what program would they probably all enjoy? Which one would drive them all crazy? Which one would make them argue?

Well, Peter wouldn't really know much about what's on these days, considering that television wasn't around just yet. He prefers a good book, honestly, but he'll play along for now. Rudy scorns the idea of compromise in any situation, so he'd probably gain control of the remote and start randomly choosing channels in an indiscernable pattern. Abby would babble about the Bechdel Test with no real point in sight. Peter would still have no idea what was going on, but he'd likely piffle away to cover that fact. He would NOT want to watch the WWI special on the Discovery Channel; living through it once was bad enough. He votes for cricket on ESPN2, but Rudy refuses. Abby loudly objects to Seventh Heaven reruns on principle, but no one's really fighting her on that. They all eventually find common ground in a crime procedural -- Abby and Peter compare notes on investigative techniques 70 years apart and join together in mocking Hollywood's dramatization; Rudy enjoys the twisty logic.

from [livejournal.com profile] marinarusalka: 4 [Dana Whitaker], 12 [Jack Sparrow], and 8 [Martha Jones] are flying somewhere on a chartered jet when an explosion in the cockpit takes out the pilot and co-pilot. How do they survive?

Well, clearly, Dana's freaking out. There are many things she's good at, but dealing with planes crashing is definitely somewhere around her ability to face fish with equanimity. Jack is stumbling around the cabin, drunk on a very large number of the tiny airline bottles of rum, gesticulating wildly and wondering why he didn't travel by sea. Thank god for Martha -- who has totally seen worse -- or they'd all be dead. She checks to see if the pilot and copilot are dead (they are; nothing to be done), tells Dana and Jack both to shut up and sit down, puts out the fire, and single-handedly lands the plane (with a little help from the Doctor on the phone).

Of course, that's when Jack starts hitting on her. You see, she reminds him of this girl he used to know...

from [livejournal.com profile] maribouquet: 7 [Benton Fraser] has an evil twin who gets into mischief with 5 [Lord Peter Wimsey] *and* 12 [Captain Jack Sparrow]. Describe!

Ahahahahaha. Oh, man. I have to say, of all the characters, Fraser has the best evil twin possibilities. I mean, he would be smart, skilled, and full of manly wiles, only completely without Fraser's morality. I love it! He would totally team up with Captain Jack Sparrow (after building a time machine out of twine and a tuning fork, naturally), and kidnap Lord Peter (again, using the time machine) for ransom. Fortunately, Peter is about as smart as Fraser and has Harriet Vane on his side, so Evil!Fraser and Jack will not be successful. It's okay, though; Peter needs a nemesis. Sherlock totally had him beat there. I think Evil!Fraser makes for a good one.

from [livejournal.com profile] joandarck: 3 [Peter Petrelli] and 5 [Lord Peter Wimsey] are running against each other for student body president. Which one do you vote for? What would 8 [Martha Jones] have to do to change your mind?

Ooh, close race. Not to mention the freaky name coincidence and the temptation to yell "Vote Petrelli!" in a Japanese accent. I would probably vote for Peter Petrelli, honestly. He's so earnest. I like that in a politician.

Martha would have to run herself to change my mind. In which case, I would vote for her. Unless you mean she's campaigning for one or the other, in which case she'd probably be rooting for Lord Peter (British, piffles about, secretly brilliant...remind you of anyone?) and would tell me that Peter is capable of mind control, which would bother me in a leader.

from [livejournal.com profile] jaydeyn_sitari: 4 [Dana Whitaker], 13 [Xander Harris], and 14 [Fiona Glennane] get into a drinking contest. What shenanigans ensue?

Well, straight off, I can tell you that Fiona wins the drinking contest. The woman is Irish AND former IRA, so the other two didn't stand a chance to start with, even though she is only 90 lbs. soaking wet. Fiona will likely accompany the Flaming Irish Car Bombs with stories about the actual flaming Irish car bombs in her past, and wish she had an excuse to make a Molotov cocktail. Xander loves tiny, dangerous women, so he will lust after her something awful. After a single giant blue margarita, Dana is happily and drunkenly dancing on the tabletops to "Boogie Shoes" (as she does), which would've gotten them kicked out of the bar if Fiona hadn't already bribed the bartender (Michael's using it as a distraction to do something spy-like in the back room). After his job, Michael will sweep in, try to intimidate the hell out of Xander (who will at least score some points for not backing down; after all, Michael's much less scary than a lot of things he's faced), and drag Fiona off to help him with a "job" (put whatever spin on that word you like). At which point, poor Xander will be stuck with the bill, no girl, and a drunken Dana to escort safely home (which he'll do, because he's a sweetheart).

from [livejournal.com profile] thespatz: 1 [Miles Vorkosigan], 2 [Temperance Brennan], and 13 [Xander Harris] have been captured and are locked away in a cell. Who has inappropriate chemistry, who distracts the guard to make their escape, and who is secretly working for the enemy?

Miles totally has inappropriate chemistry with Brennan. I mean, first of all, who wouldn't, and second of all, Miles LOVES incredibly tall, incredibly brilliant brunettes who could kick his ass. As for her, she finds him fascinating and interrogates him about the unique anthropology of Barrayar's isolation and such. Xander is also a little fond of Brennan, because she reminds him of Anya in her bluntness and blithe ignorance of human customs. She understand what half his jokes and pop culture references mean. Neither does Miles, for that matter, since he comes from another planet and time period, so they both think he's a little bit crazy.

Xander and Miles are both excellent at distractions, which allows Brennan to knock out the guard (Miles swoons) and escape. I just can't picture any of them working for the enemy without some serious brainwashing, sorry. But Miles would totally pretend to be on the other side if it would help. :)

from [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade: 7 [Benton Fraser], 14 [Fiona Glennane], and 3 [Peter Petrelli] start a band. what is it called, what is their best known song, and which one of the other people on the list is their biggest fan?

I can't believe you didn't ask who plays what, so I'll just tell you anyway. :) Fraser is definitely lead singer and guitar player who writes all the music, Peter plays bass and helps with the writing (making this the most earnest band since My Chem). Fiona bangs the shit out of the drums and attracts male groupies. Since Fiona could not have fallen in with two more earnest, honest people if she tried, that probably means she did, and is undercover for some reason. They are called The Moose (plural form) and their most famous song is "Good In Red." Kaylee is their biggest fan (she has a poster of them up in the engine room, and alternates between crushing on all three).

from [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade: Who else on the list would 8 [Martha Jones] take if s/he was stranded on a deserted island? How would they amuse themselves and/or escape?

Um...Kaylee. Because then they can amuse themselves by making out (what, it's MY MEME) and turning down Jack Sparrow when he sails by and offers to rescue them (although they do hit him up for some water), because they're taking a vacation. And when they get bored and/or sunburned, they'll just call the Doctor to pick them up and Kaylee will geek out about the TARDIS.

from [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade: 11 [Veronica Mars] and 6 [Kaylee Frye]: fight to the death: who wins?

Veronica wins just because she's way more ruthless, although Kaylee gives her a run for her money in scrappiness. But she's sad about it, because Kaylee was kinda hot, and now Mal is after her for revenge. (Jayne, on the other hand, paid good money to watch the fight.)

Ahaha, Abby and Lord Peter would be hilarious. Almost as hilarious as Miles flirting with Bones, but only slightly more ridiculous than "Good in Red". I also approve of Martha/Kaylee makeout vacations.

They would, wouldn't they? I bet you she'd get along with Harriet, too.

Miles/Bones works in a weird way, don't you think? They're not such a bad (short-term) pairing.

I thought you might approve. ;)

He would be a handful, wouldn't he? A nice, firm, perfectly toned handful... ;)
