inmyriadbits: oranges on blue (musicbuff)
So...I never got around to actually crossposting about the Amplificathon 2013 podfics I did. *is super belated* I figured I should probably get on that before Amplificathon 2014 rolled around.

I joined up a week before the deadline, and I'd never recorded anything before, so I started with my own stories and a couple of Katie's. When I inevitably fumble my way through the early part of a learning curve, I prefer it be my own stuff (or my clone's) that bears the brunt of it. Anyway:

...and I would like to say, I did it at 3 in the morning, and thus disclaim all responsibility. This is definitely related to my last post.

inmyriadbits: (dangerofgeekage)
Fandoms: Primeval, CSI: Miami
Rating: G
Pairing/Characters: Det. Horatio Caine, Cpt. Becker, Connor Temple, Abby Maitland
Warnings: dinosaurs prehistoric creatures, Horatio Caine, bad puns
Word Count: 188
Summary: After the New Dawn fiasco, the ARC team does a lot of liasing.

Notes: Tiny ficlet written as a present for [livejournal.com profile] spatz, because we broke 10k on our Mission: Impossible 4 fic. She asked for it. (Our conversations are weird, okay; you really don't want to know how we got from spy shenanigans to dinosaurs in Miami.) And then I found out that CSI: Miami was just cancelled by CBS, so it doubles as a celebration of that! This...is probably the only way I will ever end up writing about Horatio Caine, who I hate with the fire of a thousand over-produced Miami suns.

Also posted here on AO3.

So...at the time of the school year when it's the least good idea to be distracted from my work, I decide to go out and get addicted to a new TV show.

Fuck.

And I mean that in a good way.

ExpandThis way to thoughts on Supernatural. Spoiler warning! )

OMG. Someone made a reference to House in the Wikipedia article about vasculitis. Fandom is way pervasive, yo.

And all you House fans should go read Synchronicity by [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge right now. It's brilliance incarnate.

"No MRIs on Wilson so you two can giggle at pictures of his brain!" Cuddy called as she departed.

"She never lets us have any fun," House grumbled.

In other news, I was checking some stuff on TV.com, and was shocked to discover that I somehow missed the last two Veronica Mars episodes and *three* CSIs. I was especially surprised on the latter, because it means I actually watched things out of order, which I NEVER do. But I saw "Up In Smoke" (6.16), apparently missed "I Like To Watch" (6.17) and "The Unusual Suspect" (6.18), saw "Spellbound" (6.19), and haven't seen "Poppin' Tags" (6.20; WTF is up with that title?). How did this happen? *is distraught, especially due to massive amounts of homework and available TV coinciding*

You know, looking back at my post on April 26th, I do believe I made a few erroneous selections on that last posting. Then again, I didn't know who Gary Dourdan was at the time, since CSI has been a recent thing for me. I can't believe that neither George Eads or Eric Szmanda aren't on that list, though. Total gyp. I know I would rather do Nick than Warrick (it's all about the attitude; Warrick is just a bit too angst-angst-angst; Nick and Greg have his intensity and levity). As for the actors...well, I wouldn't say no. Also, I believe I can forgive myself for not remembering that Josh Charles and Peter Krause are the names of lovely actors who play the equally lovely Casey McCall and Dan Rydell on Sports Night. Silly Lindsey.
