So, I've been catching up on House from a full season behind. Aside from telling you all that I really missed House and Wilson's friendship (the entirety of 5.17 "The Social Contract," for example, was just lovely in their delightfully fucked up way), I just wanted to comment on something really nice that the writers Doris Egan created. I'll write it so it's non-spoilery -- it may be the regulars! It may be the Case of the Week intro! YOU WON'T KNOW. Unless you've seen it, of course.
So, two people sleep together. (SPOILER ALERT: it's not House and Wilson! Sadly.) Girl wakes before guy, applies lipstick, kisses on boy's cheek before leaving; guy wakes up after girl is gone, goes into bathroom, notices kiss mark in mirror, and sees lipstick sitting on counter where girl left it for him to find. Isn't that such a lovely, creative way to leave a non-verbal morning-after note?
It totally makes me want to steal the idea for my own nefarious purposes. *eg*
