Oh, what the heck. From [livejournal.com profile] thespatz and [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63:

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble of any pairing/character/prompt of their choosing, in any fandom I am familiar with. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. (If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or dirty limericks or something instead.) I'll even write you a dirty limerick, if you prefer that to a drabble.

For the record, I recently got into Generation Kill, re-watched all of Lie To Me and Fringe with my twin, and am having a Southland renaissance, so I'd be particularly thrilled by prompts in those fandoms. But I'm really really easy if you want to pull out something random like, say, The Pretender. :D

Saturday's child works hard for a living

I didn't know you were a Southland fan! Yay! I love them THIS MUCH. :D

(and for the record, it is all your icon's fault that I was briefly imagining a FOB crossover, until I realized that Cooper would shoot Pete Wentz about five seconds after meeting him, and that it would thus be a bad idea. :P)

This was the last thing he expected John to do the morning-after.

Ben had woken late to an empty bed, but not a silent house. He wandered blearily out to his living room to find John sprawled across the clean lines of his couch, watching Saturday morning cartoons.

He stood in the doorway and watched John laugh at an animated explosion. His arms stretched casually along the sofa cushions, but he looked a little stiff. His back, Ben thought.

John looked up when Ben shifted his weight, uncertain, and he smiled wide. "Hey," John said, and turned down the volume. "Come here."

:DDDDDDDDDDD THIS IS GREAT. and we should all just be thankful that Pete probably doesn't have much interaction with law enforcement.

I started watching it...sometime during the original run, just streaming it on Hulu, because Ryan Atwood! Police Officer. and my roommate is a huge Micheal Cudlitz fan. I just really want the fusion/crossover where Sherman secretly IS Ryan, and he brings John home to the Cohens for Chrismukkah.

:DDDDDDD I'm so glad you like it! I was going to write the actual makeouts that would follow, but then the cough syrup kicked in and I also realized that it would end up way waaaaay longer than drabble-length. It's perfectly 100 words, as it is. :)

LOL very very true. Such is the stuff nightmares are made of.

You should check out the TNT broadcasts! There were six new minutes of footage in the re-aired pilot, and they cut out all the bleeping, so Houston, we have cursing. :D

You mean, like this? There's no Chrismukkah, but it's still good. [livejournal.com profile] hackthis has written some amazingly hot Cooper/Sherman.

oh, believe me, I know about TNT. They've already put in more promo for the first episode than NBC did for the entire series. I kept telling my roommate "IT'S ON THE TV!" because I never remembered to watch it that way the first time around.

I'm pretty sure I've read every single Sherman/Cooper fic in existence. Or at least on delicious. I'm hoping the rebroadcast/new episodes yield more fic.

I know! It's really exciting. I always watch the promos, even though I've a) seen them before and b) seen the actual episodes before, just because it makes me happy. :D Also, it's encouraging that TNT is so excited about the show.

LIKEWISE. I think I need to make a pimp post to help make this happen, because I was poking around to see if there was one already I could link to, and there's NOT. That's just wrong. I'm planning to include clips like this and this, and likely this picture, but that's about as far as I've gotten. I've noticed you have a singular talent for pimping, so, any suggestions? :)
